Beyond Boundaries explores what lies beneath the surface.
The collection examines the point at which one material, finish or texture gives way to another. Through precision craftsmanship and experimental finishing techniques veneers reveal concealed layers of colour; surface treatments are transformed into intricate three-dimensional landscapes, natural capillaries of timber are exploited to allow pigment to migrate through the material, creating effects that are both controlled and organic. Elsewhere, layers are cut back, sculpted and exposed to uncover unexpected colour, depth and composition.
Together, these celebrate our in-house discoveries, revealing the beauty that exists beyond the visible boundary of a material’s surface.
